About MRG Utils

MRG Utils is a Python-based toolkit which will convert a file in Penn Treebank II Combined Parse (.mrg) format to a hierarchical object-oriented structure. This is useful for the generation of features for machine learning applications or statistical data gathering using more intuitive, tree-based navigation of the data. MRG Utils was created by Robert Elwell during his time at the UT Austin Department of Linguistics Computational Linguistics Group. He currently works for Vertive, Inc., publisher of Offers.com
